Hello, everyone! Ethel is so happy to see you here! Here I am yesterday morning- can you believe all the ways I can find to waste time on my way to work? I’ve been trying to get a good rearview mirror shot for months now. Finally, I have one I’m happy with.

Thursday was Jesse’s first day of school this year. She’s fairly excited to get back- I think summer was beginning to become boring to her. She’s wearing her new uniform jumper, which I like because it isn’t too short. She likes to play like a boy and the shorter skirt things never really worked with that. She’s also very, very tan. She gets that from Dana, not me. I’m very white. We’ll call it porcelain skin since that sounds better. Jennie has gotten quite a tan too, as they play outside a lot at her new preschool. In this particular picture, it appears that they are liking each other. No bickering at this specific time of the day, I guess.

This is the best I could do at showing the beginnings of a new wrap. It’s star stitch, which I found in a pattern calendar thing, and I like it alot. It’s easy to memorize and the pattern shows up great with this yarn. I’m going to do about 10 inches, maybe 12, of the star stitch on each end of the wrap, with all garter stitch between. I’ve managed to get about six inches done already.
It’s terribly muggy here in the South, which we rarely complain about. This is summer- it’s supposed to be like this. But I’ll sure be glad when fall comes along. Until then, I’ll sit in my chair near the air conditioning vent and knit on this wrap.
